Student Support Services
We consider it our bounden duty to ensure proper and adequate adoption of student supportive measures. Situated in a tribal belt, a large population of our students come from the reserved categories and we have over the years maintained a high success rate of disbursal of the government scholarships to them.
We have taken several initiatives to enhance the soft skills, facilitate their self-reliance and lead them towards a quality and meaningful life. The Add-on Courses on Communicative English, Nepali Lekhan Shaili, Art of Review, Mental Health, the workshop on Bengali recitation, Yoga and Mental Wellness are some pointed steps in this direction.
As an undergraduate general degree college, we do not have the scope of campus placement but the career counselling and placement cell arranges interactive, informative sessions about career opportunities with professionals from different fields, sends the students to training sessions and orientation workshops on various competitive examinations, beyond the college campus.
A significant section of our students, pursue higher studies in different universities of the state and some of them have become teachers after qualifying NET/SET.
We have an active and systematic grievance redressal mechanism in our college helmed by the Internal Complaints Committee taking care of all grievances from different stakeholders. Ours has been a peaceful college, but occasional frictions have transpired nonetheless that have been instantly and amicably resolved.
Through different sports and cultural programmes we nurture the potential and facilitate harmonious growth of the young learners. Mixed community of students foster rich scope for cultural exchange and lend variety to the various cultural programmes that are arranged in our college.
The institution has a registered Alumni Association. They are an integral part of the college. They are invited in different college programmes and they, out of their own accord arrange different activities and skill enhancement initiatives for our current students. Their passion for the college reflects in their eager involvement in different activities in the best interests of the institution. Well-placed in life and passionate about the college, our alumni are indeed our prized possession.
