Vision

Dream big to achieve big, this is what we sincerely believe in. Accordingly, we envision our college emerging as a beacon of higher studies, which will attract the best, creative, agile minds and enlighten the path for many to follow. Here quality education will be provided to all in an inclusive, barrier-free environment. Besides the obvious drive for academic excellence, equal importance will be given towards identifying the natural proficiency and sharpening the different skills of the students to enhance their employability prospects in the big, competitive world. Most importantly, the young, impressionable minds of our learners will be nurtured with utmost care to instil basic human values and promote a harmonious development of their personality. We envision our students emerging out as confident, qualified, employable, self-reliant, conscientious individuals with an innate sense of social responsibility. They will carve out a niche for them in the big, wide world and so will their institution thrive setting a glorious example in the upper echelons of higher education in our country.

Mission

Our visionary goals make us mission bound to stretch ourselves, extend our horizon and strive undeterred to:
Ensure equal access to the facilities and resources in our college by all students thereby redressing the imbalance that we feel exists / is perceptible between the urban and rural community in this tribal belt.
To identify and address the different academic and psycho-social needs of the dense population of our students. We supplement the classroom teaching with remedial coaching, tutorial classes, motivational lectures and various counselling sessions and strive to live up to the role of a mentor in the true sense of the term.
Motivate and facilitate quality research by the faculty and students. The mobilization of funds for research projects and simultaneous augmentation of our college infrastructure are amongst our prime concerns. We aspire to establish our college as an authorized research center by the University.
Create avenues of revenue generation for the college that will enable us to proceed with our planned activities in our own capacity / ease the progression of our planned activities.
Emphasize interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary ventures in the college. The inter-departmental classes, addon courses, eco-friendly projects like the solid waste management are examples of such fruitful collaborations that we seek to extend to other arenas in the coming years.
Revive at the earliest the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of our college which has for long been the kernel of our contentment and strength.
Ensure mutual accountability in college operation by prioritizing open communication and feedback from different stakeholders.
Develop employability skills of the students and lead them towards self-reliance through several career counselling and placement initiatives.
Enhance the use of ICT tools by the different stakeholders and thereby promote digitized modes of operation at the institution.

Objective

The objective of Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalaya is to provide its students with the opportunity to pursue higher education that nurtures personal growth and over all development through a high-quality teaching and learning experiences. The institution constantly evaluates and adopts its mission in order to address the challenges and opportunities of a changing era. The institution aims to offer a well-rounded education, promote ethical and moral principles and inspire students to develop their leadership and entrepreneurial skills remembering the positive vibes of Swami Vivekananda “Arise awake and stop not till the goal is reached.”
