Brief History
The Department of Zoology, set against the tranquil backdrop of our rural college, acts as a portal to exploring the wonders of life and biodiversity. The Department has been established in the month of July, 2016. Our students and faculty are wholeheartedly dedicated to merging academic achievement with a deep respect for the complex design of nature. At the Zoology Department, we firmly embrace the values of Excellence and Inclusiveness. A unique tapestry of mutual respect and learning unites our department, contributing to our success in both academic and extracurricular activities.
Vision
“Tamso Maa Jyotirgamya” to create an innovative environment for teaching and learning that ensures excellence in biology education, contributing to the sustainable advancement of society. The department encourages exploration and comprehensive understanding of animal biology, evolution, and their habitats. We aim for the overall development of students, equipping them to make meaningful contributions to their own welfare and that of society in this rapidly changing era. Our objective is to impart to our students the highest moral values, a deep respect for the environment, and a thorough understanding of animal sciences by employing state-of-the-art research and innovative teaching techniques.

We are committed to educating the students beyond the confines of a class room to make them better individuals and develop their personalities, enabling them to face the challenges of the modern World.
Goals & Objectives
- Conducting educational tour to give exposure to the students by visiting Animal Park, Dairy Industry, Sericulture, Fisheries, Poultry farms, Apiary etc.
- Encouraging the students to lead workshops and seminars on the subjects covered in the curriculum. It will assist in attaining exposure and academic success.
- Providing a thorough knowledge and scopes on every newly emerging branches of Zoology.
- Fostering the necessary practical skills among the students to make them more productive and valuable for the society.
- Raising awareness of conservation, biodiversity preservation, and animal welfare in human society.
- Empowering women in every step for the Renaissance of Society.
- Fostering Research aptitude and a Scientific advancement among the people.
